Tappie

Smart Beertender

Tappie is a smart beertender made for festivals. Tappie was developed using the FINN banking of things technology, where you use things as a payment method. When you get a beer with Tappie, you pay with your cup. This way, Tappie helps to reduce plastic waste at festivals and you’re avoiding long queues at the bar.

For this project Ignation did the concepting, design and creation of the physical prototype, programming of the sensors and connecting to the FINN backend. I was involved in each of the responsibilities. It is a Raspberry Pi and Arduino project, using REST requests for communication with FINN.
